A Long-Awaited Honor

Former Louisville football star Harry Douglas will finally see his jersey number retired by the university, a long-awaited honor for one of the program's most decorated players.

Douglas, who played for the Cardinals from 2005 to 2007, was a two-time All-American and a key member of Louisville's 2006 Orange Bowl championship team.

He finished his college career with 2,630 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns, both of which rank among the top 10 in school history.

A Trailblazing Career

After his standout college career, Douglas went on to a successful NFL career, playing for the Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, and New York Jets.

He finished his NFL career with 5,733 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns.

Douglas was also a key member of the Falcons' Super Bowl LI team in 2017.

Giving Back to the Community

In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Douglas has also been active in the community, working with several charities and mentoring young athletes.

He is also the founder of the Harry Douglas Foundation, which provides scholarships to underprivileged students.

Douglas's jersey retirement ceremony will take place on October 28th, 2023, at halftime of Louisville's game against Virginia.
